"Once I Loved..."
Once I loved like no other…
We started as strangers to one another
She wasn’t my type
Not even once did it occur to me that something was going to happen
But then, it did
I began to like her, fall for her, then to love her
I tried everything
But to no avail
I can say I failed… miserably
But not for this
But rather for the pasts
For I then realized
That for once, I loved like no other…
For it was the only time I did love….
And I’ve always reminded her of the moon
Once, I explained why…
But then I gave her the wrong reason
So, just in case you want to know why,
For it is because…
I love her all the way to the moon and back.
oBa-lAyOs connection(haha)
Alas within this path, the shadows wait
And in this road I cry in great dismay.
What fiendish foes await my lonely stay,
For they alone can seal my earthly fate?
The dark may soon go strong as I go straight
And those that lurk may find me prey.
But shout and scream and wail as I may,
Ill have no aid for there’s none in sight.
Yet, blue flame runs within my restless veins;
Enduring spirits steer to go amidst;
Fear or anxiety shall not remain.
A drive I crave to draw a daring feat,
Knowing I’ll pass this path but once, I shall
Take the one less traveled by, or befall.
"Rizal"
"Adios, Patria adorada, region del sol querida, Perla del Mar de Oriente, nuestro perdido eden, A darte voy, alegre, la triste, mustia vida; Y fuera mas brillante, mas fresca, mas florida, Tambien por ti la diera, la diera por tu bien... One hundred years ago, on the eve of December 30, 1896, Jose Rizal wrote his Ultimo Adios, replete with pathos and patriotic devotion, a masterpiece of 19th century Spanish verse. At early dawn the following day, he faced a military firing squad and died, a martyr to the Filipino quest for justice during the Spanish regime. Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal was born in Calamba, Laguna, to a prosperous landowner and sugar planter of Filipino-Chinese descent on June 19, 1861. His intellectual and moral development was powerfully influenced by his mother, Teodora Alonso, and the teachings of the Catholic Church. At an early age, he demonstrated a prolific talent for poetry, writing his first poem at age eight. In 1877, at age 16, he graduated with highest honors from the Ateneo de Manila. In 1882, he went to Spain to pursue medical studies which he had started at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. At age 24, he was conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and Letter." -Direct Essays

Dugo'y unti-unting dumadanak.Mga mata'y nanlilisik.Mga budhing nag-uumapaw sa galak ng pagpaslang.Muling naglapit at nagtirahan.
"St. Ignatius"
St. Ignatius is not only the father of the Society of Jesus but also the father of every Atenean. It is his inspiration, vision and charism that bring us all together. St. Ignatius and his charism spans time and space and bridges generations: he was able to inspire his first companions to form the Society of Jesus more than four hundred years ago; he was able to move our Jesuit Jubilarians who were once like us, students; we are now borne by this tradition. Upon the shoulders of many great men and womeninspired by St. Ignatius, we all rest and stand tall…

"Aww"
I met you in a hallway,
Only four weeks ago.
Your beauty is radiant,
Like a new fallen snow.
We studied our hearts out
The time we’ll never regret.
But there’s something I want to tell you…
So here’s a cheer that suppose I know how.
We can’t go on, not ever, and not now.

"9/11"
In memory of all those who perished this morning; the passengers and the pilots on the UnitedAir and AA flights, the workers in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and all the innocent bystanders. Our prayers go out to thefriends and families of the deceased."IF I KNEW"If I knew it would be the last timeThat I'd see you fall asleep,I would tuck you in more tightlyAnd pray the Lord, your soul to keep.If I knew it would be the last timeThat I see you walk out the door,I would give you a hug and kissAnd call you back for one more.If I knew it would be the last timeI'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,I would video tape each action and word,So I could play them back day after day.If I knew it would be the last timeI could spare an extra minuteT stop and say "I love you,"instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.If I knew it would be the last timeI would be there to share your day,Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,So I can let just this one slip away. For surely there's always tomorrowTo make up for an oversight,And we always get a second chanceTo make everything just right. There will always be another day to say "I love you,"And certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do?"But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all! I get, I'd like! to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget.Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike,And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight. So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day,That you didn't take that extra timeFor a smile, a hug, or a kissAnd you were too busy to grant someone,What turned out to be their one last wish.So hold your loved ones close today, and whisper in their ear,Tell them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dearTake time to say "I'm sorry,""Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay."And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today. @};-;-

"Hearts On Fire"
Hearts on fire,
Love aflame.
Cinders fly,
You speak my name.
Passion smolders,
Red-hot haze.
Touch my soul,
Quench my blaze.
