Alas within this path, the shadows wait
And in this road I cry in great dismay.
What fiendish foes await my lonely stay,
For they alone can seal my earthly fate?
The dark may soon go strong as I go straight
And those that lurk may find me prey.
But shout and scream and wail as I may,
Ill have no aid for there’s none in sight.
Yet, blue flame runs within my restless veins;
Enduring spirits steer to go amidst;
Fear or anxiety shall not remain.
A drive I crave to draw a daring feat,
Knowing I’ll pass this path but once, I shall
Take the one less traveled by, or befall.
